Mitigating Tube Failures in High-Pressure Sections

We’ve had repeated tube failures in the high-pressure section of our HRSG. Inspections show signs of creep damage. Any advice on mitigation strategies?

Monitor tube metal temperatures closely. Even a slight increase above design limits accelerates creep.

Switch to advanced materials like T91 for high-pressure sections. They’re better suited for long-term creep resistance.

Don’t underestimate water chemistry. High oxygen or improper pH levels can weaken tubes over time.
